Designing Postcards for a Friendly City
Date: September 2020
Client: Niwa
Role: Graphic designer
Date: Spring 2016
Client: Proud Pony International
Role: Web Designer & Production Assistant
Context:
The all-new Niwa Grow Hub brings commercial-grade garden automation, such as controlling your plant’s climate or automated watering and custom light schedules to the domestic grower at an affordable price.
Challenge:
Design a package, logo, and business cards for Niwa's new Grow Hub.
Approach:
After meeting with the client and doing preliminary sketches, I sent them several different design directions for the packaging. The designs we ended up going with communicated complex concepts of the product, in simple and readable ways. I then developed a logo for the product and honed the packaging through multiple revisions with customer feedback along the way. I also helped make flyers and business cards to help promote the new product!
